Julián - Black Lotus Donation to Lambert House (Seattle, WA)

$175.00

This stained glass panel was inspired by the book, “Julián Is a Mermaid” by Jessica Love. This book was a favorite of mine to include in classrooms in my former early childhood education years. This is a story about acceptance, love, autonomy, and individuality. I also feel it’s about being human and being true to yourself. The creation of the Julián inspired pieces were made to bring awareness, joy, and love to others. They also serve as both a reminder and a plea to treat our LGBTQ community like people who deserve the same rights as anyone else. Our children are listening.

This piece will include a hard cover copy of the book, “Julián Is a Mermaid”. To see other works of the author/illustrator: visit https://www.candlewick.com/author/jessica-love/.

Half of the proceeds will be donated to the Lambert House in Seattle, Washington. The Lambert House is a program that empowers LGBTQ youth through the development of leadership, social, and life skills. To learn more, visit: https://www.lamberthouse.org/
